Ive been told that my broken gearbox could be welded back together if done by someone who knows what hes doing. A special welding rod or whatever its called must be used. The broken spot is where the gearbox mounts to the camper. Is this weldable and how much should it cost? |

First things first. Depending on where you live and who you talk to will determine the price. If you were in the Sacramento area, I have a friend who's a welder. Anyway, get over to a welding shop and get an estimate. Any reputable shop should be able to tell you what they can and can't do to help. _________________ Ruth 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat '72 Apache Ranger '64 Apache Chief Nothern California |

the gearboxes are an aluminum alloy and may or may be able to welded.
