These people do missing or lost titles for classic cars. I do not know if they will or can do it for a trailer. But, worth a try.... I hope they can get you one, if they can let us know so we can pass it on to the others. So no one has any problems getting a title in the future... |

I've obviously missed some of this post, but here in Cali, the DMV is most interested in a paper trail. It's my understanding that there are states that don't require a title. Do you have a friend in one of those other states perhaps???? You know, to assist you with a bill of sale from that state?? |

In Massachusetts, a trailer with a gross weight of three thousand (3000) pounds or less does not required to be titled, but does require to be registered for a tag (for insurance purposes). However, I needed a bill of sales and copy of previous owners registration in order to get a tag. I guess this is DMV way of making sure I did not steal the trailer off the street. _________________ 1979 Apache Ramada |

I've never used them, but I hear that Titles Unlimited can usually help for most vehicles up to the early '80's. (just do a Yahoo search). They do it all by mail. The guy is a used car dealer in Alabama (non-title state for older cars), and he runs a bill of sale transaction through his dealership. Web site says he can do trailers too.
