My wife and I have repaired many cracks to the ABS panels. Being road covers, side panels, bed ends or bezels, we have seen our fair share of the different years. The difference between the mixture and the pipe glue is the pipe glue is not totaly ABS and MEK. It does have these elements in it but it also dries to a rubbery consitancy where as the ABS pellets and MEK dry to a harder plastic. This makes it better for stronger repairs. Add fiberglass and you will have no problems.

You can hardly see the repair as the pellet and MEK are sandable and paintable after fully cured.

We have done our fair share of repairs as seen in this photo and found this to be the most sound way to repair cracks. No sense in doing it and having the crack reopen.

I have not reached that stage yet on my Ramada, but if I ever do I'II be sending you an email. Actually I'm waiting for the CD I ordered from you as I have found two cracks. One's in the spare tire cover and is about three inches long. It started out as an inch in length, but by the time I got home after picking up the trailer it had grown. I drilled the end of the crack to stop the spread and I used super glue and baking soda for the now until I recieve the CD. The other crack is in the bed end wall. It caught on the bed end cap when raising the bed wall and a two inch crack appeared. I've got the new bed end caps so that will take of that mess in the future. Once again super glue and baking soda until I study the CD. I'm the type that needs to read and search so that I have a very clear understanding before attempting any project. I hate unknowns although they can't all be eliminated, but if I can reduce the unknowns it sure makes the job at hand easier.
