This is somthing that has been bugging me and making me constantly looking at it.. In the picture of the '71 Roamer when it's set down near the top of this web site..at the rear of the Roamer..is the roof not fully down??

Also go to the old site and you can see this picture better in the museum..

I have finaly had the guts to make this post

spence, try to be positive.....the pic looks fine....even if it didn't,,,,,be positive!!! Don't pick stuff, just for the sake of picking. Remember the addage,,,,,"If you don't have anything nice to say,,,,,,,Don't say anything at all"...........There's a reason for this,,,,that is do you really want to potentially hurt someone's feelings or really want to piss someone off just for the sake of pointing out an error? Doesn't make much sense.... _________________ tnaptguy--Bret '67 Jen '68 BretII '95 Emily '99 Rachael '01 Sophia '03 Tinkerbell '97 DodgeRam TurboDeisel'99 Ramada '79

I think you must not have enough to do - don't your wheel bearings need repacking, or your gearbox need lubing, or something?

I think what all this means is, put the mind in gear before opening your mouth, or in this case, typing your thoughts.

I am going to leave this post here just to remind you to do this. I may even make it sticky! How about that!

OK Spence, here goes. It is fully down, it wouldnt make much sense to put an add out of a product your selling and have it blaitently wrong. What you are seeing is a shadow and not open space. This is a rendering and not a photo also, a lot of company's did renderings in adds then. You are looking at the depiction of an Apache from an artists view. I know what I am speaking of here as I worked in profesional photolabs for over 20 years and much of the stuff I printed was adds such as this for car company's. Your perspective is of finding something here that does not exist and an over active imagination, damn hormones!!!

Anyone with half a brain can play with a photo and make you think what you are seeing is real.. when it fact it is far from real.. not ALL photos are accurate.. I think I will have my door on the wrong side today...... _________________ Me -71 (Jeff) Wife ?? (Shauna) Thomas 97 Nicholas 01 '79 Ramada '95 GMC Z71 in Utah

Just another reminder of how important school is..... When my kids are 13, they probably won't have their "own" Apache playhouse. When my kids are 13, they probably won't spend time at the Apache web site....they won't be online without my supervision, for that matter.... When my kids are 13, they'll spend more time doing homework and studying their spelling, and less time pointing out problems with images on web sites and pondering the wonders of the universe as they pertain to pop-up campers. When my kids are 13, I certainly hope they have a basic command of the English language and can express their thoughts with some measure of intelligence. Trade the keyboard and mouse in for a pencil and a textbook, Spencer.....at least for a few more years. _________________ Pete '67 Katie '69 Samantha '95 Shaun '96 Shannon '98 Ramada '74

i think everyone here should ease up on spencer a bit, he was just asking a question that apparently HE thought was important..as far as picking on him, i have noticed quite a few times that almost everything he says gets scrutinized pretty deeply, just wondering who that makes look immature. as far as him being 13 and owning an apache i see nothing at all wrong with that especially if he is doing his own work on it...learning how to use your own hands to do something construtive is missing in todays youth, i'm sure his homework has been done long before he gets online.. sure sometimes he writes offbeat topics but so what.. grow up and give the kid a break. as far as the mediocre pricing everyone is writing about, i believe we should be promoting HIGHER prices for the apaches, after all they are classics. my method would not be to start with a price and go down , it would be to start at a price for a clean frame and good axle (say $500) and then add from there , interior shape, exterior shape, sink and water hookups working, furnace, 3 way fridge, cushion covers , curtains , all adding to the value instead of taking away from it. _________________ "GOD PUT ME ON EARTH TO ACCOMPLISH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF THINGS, RIGHT NOW I AM SO FAR BEHIND, I WILL LIVE FOREVER" andy capp cartoon RICK 77 RAMADA 77 YUMA 2000 GMC 4X4

Spencer, please take the above comments as constructive criticism...and if you want to pick apart a certain Apache, go to my website and start picking apart mine; that should keep you busy for awhile

I think it's great that a young person has such an interest in older campers (why you would at such a young age is something I don't understand, but oh well). But at the same time Pete is right. School needs to be THE top priority at your age. Some day, when you're our age, you'll understand that.
