Ok, I've searched this whole site and can't find the answer I'm looking for! You all are so knowledgeable, I know you'll have the answer! My 1980 Royal needs the roof and wall panels either replaced, or fixed. They are cracked, and coming apart. First of all what do you call that stuff? Second, how can I fix it, or what do I replace it with?

Last year I replaced my ceiling panels and end panels around the windows. Lowes carries a vinyl covered paneling that was cheap, didn't have grooves like normal paneling does, and has held up good so far. The vinyl coating keeps the moisture out of the wood, so it should hold up as long as it doesn't sag. It was kind of a pain to replace them, since you have to remove the road cover to do it properly, and also take apart the inside walls of the bed ends, but if you take your time and don't force anything it isn't that hard. 1978 Royal
