Does anyone keep a camping diary for their Apache that records where, when, who, and what you did on each trip?

I have done this with tent camping for almost 25 years and it is fun to look back and remember the good times and places I have visited and the friends that I have camped with over the years.

Just curious if anyone else keeps a camping diary for their Apache and how and what you record???

We have never kept a camping diary. With our Apache, unlike with our HiLo, we are going to keep a lot miles driven and maintenance done. This is our first Apache. _________________ Beth '67 Ralph '60 Mary '95 '75 Apache Royal '03 GMC Sierra LSE 1500 Extended Cab

We owned an acre and land in the mountains of PA and ever since the camp was established, we had a camp journal....we all took turns writing in it and it is so much fun to look back on it. We sold our camp to a cousin with the understanding that he had to keep up the journal, so far he has! We brought home our journals when we sold it, and have looked back on it often!

We write down date, Time, Friends we see, receipes that we like from friends, any thing of intrest where we stay, price, weather, You name it! it will be good reading in a few short years. Minds seem to forget as they age, if it has been writen down , you can look back and reminence!!! Happy Camping...'homer'

Yes, my memory is not so good after some years have passed. It is really cool to look at the diary and to just reminence about where you have been. My twin daughters like to keep a running count of the deer at each place we have been and to write it in the diary also. This last weekend we saw 17 white tailed deer and one eagle.

Keep on camping!

Oh, almost forgot. When I tent camped, in addition to a diary, I was inspired by a famous camper from the lake country of Wisconsin by the name of Sam Campbell. He owned an island and had his home there and now has a trail named after him in one of Wisconsin's Parks. He died in the early 1960s but his books live on. They are called the forest life series. Just do a book author search on Sam Campbell. He was also hired by the Canadian railroad as a trip guide and lecturer. Here in the USA he talked to over 10 million people in his life at universities and other gatherings where he shared his stories and animal pictures with others and taught people to love nature and its animals. He on his tent flaps would write down each trip and when he was in the tent he could read all the places that this particular tent had traveled to and would bring back many fond memories just reading the list written on the tent flap. For almost 30 years I have also done that on each and every tent that I have owned and when a tent is retired, I cut off the flap and keep it for a memento of the trips it has gone on. It is fun reading all the places from across Europe, to across Canada, Alaska, and all over the USA that my tents have gone. It brings back many happy memories. _________________ Alan Restoring a 1973 Ramada
