Hi everyone, I have been talking with a chrome part manufacturer and he currently does not offer a chrome baby moon hubcap to fit the 10 inch wheels that many Apache owners use with 20.5x8x10 tires. HOWEVER, he asked me to find someone who has a chrome hubcap and to have them take high resolution digital photographs of the hubcap: From the front, from the side, from the back, and closeups of the way the hubcap attaches, etc. He also need detailed measurements of the hubcap, one option would be to photograph the hubcap with a tape measurer or ruler and then also to provide exact inside diameter measurements, and measurement for the lip and how it attaches to the wheel. Anyway, he is very interested to see exactly what the baby moon looks like and the measurements, because the company may be willing to make some new ones or to see if there is a supplier in China, Europe, etc. that may have some or may be able to make some new chrome baby moon hubcaps for Apache trailers with 10 inch tires. Soooooo - anyone with a good digital camera, PLEASE take some detailed photographs of your HUBCAP and also provide measurements so that I can let the chrome manufacturing rep know what we need. Please post the photos to the Apachepopups.net Gallery so that I can refer him there to see them. Thanks and please help with your photography expertise, Alan Restoring a 1973 Ramada

That would be fantastic if we can obtain hubcaps. I still haven't found any locally and now that I will be getting the trailer ready for winter I won't be intentionally looking until next spring. Alberta

I have 2 new hubcaps for my Yuma, which uses 18.5 x 8.5 inch tires. Does anyone know where you can get the clips that hold them on? - al r.

Read the prior messages if you do, and then maybe we might be able to find some new resource for new Hubcaps for our trailers.

Waiting on someone's help and assistance,

What I also need besides pictures (pictures are important to show how the hubcap is made and the shape and how it will fit against the wheel) but also that I need exact measurement of the hubcap. The inside diameter of the hubcap. The outside diameter of the hubcap on the part that slides against the tire wheel. How wide is the flange that slides and presses against the inside of the wheel, etc. These measurements will help me and the man from the chrome manufacturing place to see what is available or what can be made. Thanks again, Alan Restoring a 1973 Ramada

I found this link a few weeks ago, maybe Pete found it originally, but check it out and look at item number 1415.

https://www.fultonperformance.com/

This is a different company than the one that I was talking to, but I need to have someone look at this hubcap and then measure theirs and compare their measurements to

1400 Series

A= Flange Diameter (ID)

B= Overall height

C= Overall Width

D= Crown Height

R= Crown Radius

Maybe, maybe this hubcap will fit. Rick when the storm is gone please measure yours to these measurements at this webpage and if similar, then you don't have to mail me your hubcap. If this is similar in measurements, then I will order a pair and try them and then let everyone know.

Thanks again for your assistance,

Alan

ok isabel is gone and water is everywhere, if anyone needs any kindling , you are more than welcome to come get it from my yard lol.. anyway i got the hubcap out and measured it and took pictures in the gallery. after looking at the way the original fits over the rim , i seriously doubt that the fultons would fit properly.they may actually fit , to some extent,depending on the way they clip, but they will definitely show the edges of the rim and would have to be painted and would probably not look all that great. in my opinion , the baby moons would have to have the extra lip, in order to cover all of the rim, the outside of the rim measures 11 inches across and the fulton rim is less than 10 by a smidge. i saw an original babymoon with apache wrote across it in the gallery, this is the hubcap that we need to see the measurements of, i believe. i think it was in the roundup pictures of the chief. if anyone knows who owns that hubcap , they are the one we need to talk to. i can still send the hubcap if you think the guy can make baby moons that cover the same and use the same type clips. i only have one of them so i wont be using it soon. _________________ "GOD PUT ME ON EARTH TO ACCOMPLISH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF THINGS, RIGHT NOW I AM SO FAR BEHIND, I WILL LIVE FOREVER" andy capp cartoon RICK 77 RAMADA 77 YUMA 2000 GMC 4X4

after looking at the apache hubcap in the gallery i do believe the fulton will fit very similar to this one. the apache shows a bit of the rim edge too. might be worth a try. after contacting fulton weeks ago on where to buy they directed me here https://www.rigidhitch.com/ and told me they will order anything fulton carries. it might be worth buying one to try, if you do send pictures on how it fits.

The Fulton looks like one I bought at the truck stop for 5$ each, they fit but fell off as soon as you hit a bump. The is a great pix of one in the Gallery. Go to the Round up shots and look at #71 Once again I have hupcaps that size but no writing on them. I think they would work for both 8 and 10 inch wheels based on the the CD from Paul. _________________ '61 Me '68 Apache Mesa '96 Chevy Blazer '00 Black Lab "Sam"

The ones in the round up pictures are off of 8" rims. They will not fit on 10" rims. I know this as I have been on the hub cap pilgrimage for more than 3 years. I have found 8" baby moons but nothing as of yet to fit the 10" wheels. I also had the original 8" Apache covers and they did not fit a 10" rim and I sold them to Paul for his Eagle.
